17th C Louis XIV Hand Carved Stone Chateau Fireplace Mantle

from a Chateau in Bourgogne "Burgundy" the wine country. The
beautiful delicate carving of grapes leaves and basket and bunches of flower is
very telling to where the artist's inspiration came from in the making of this
breathtaking masterpiece of a fireplace.
During the Period of king Louis XIV, The design and decore
was grandiose and monumental. Burgundy is one of France's main wine producing
areas. It is well known for both its red and white wines, mostly made from
